Santiago Island League (South) : ウィキペディア英語版 | Santiago Island League (South)
The Santiago Island League (South) is a regional championship played in Santiago Island, Cape Verde. The winner of the championship plays in Cape Verdean football Championships of each season. In 2007 and 2013 when Sporting Praia automatically qualified in the championships as they won their national titles in the previous season, a second place club qualified to the national championships. The league was formed after the split of the Santiago Island League into the north and south zones in 2002 and the two are the youngest island leagues in Cape Verde. It was the first island league to feature a second division league, it was once known as the second level. In the late 2000s and up to mid 2015, the league contained ten clubs. The new season now features 12 clubs in the premier division, as no clubs were relegated in the last season, Delta and Eugenio Lima are this season's additional clubs. ==Santiago Island League (South) - Clubs 2015/16== The 2015/16 season began on November 13, this is the first time it features two additional clubs.
